Vulture (or Condor) is one of the most prehistoric creatures that still exists today, having shared lifetimes with the saber toothed tiger. Born with their eyes open, they possess sight from the moment they enter the world. They are sacred to many cultures who believe Condor to be the messenger for the divine and the connection between Heaven and Earth. Resistant to wind, they are able to reach great heights and live in extreme conditions high up in the mountaintops. With an impressive nine foot wingspan, Condor is the largest bird of prey. As scavengers, they clean up the death and decay found on the ground. They remind us that we too are creatures of both Heaven and Earth. Let Condor be a reminder that your earthly duties are of great importance as they are connected to the higher realms of existence.
